Holly Johnson has lived with her wife, Diane, and daughter, Valentine, in Cranbury since they bought their historic home in 2009. She grew up in New York City and graduated from Cornell University with Honors in 2001. She completed an M.F.A. in Writing at Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2004. She is a tenured professor of English and Journalism at Mercer County Community College where she is faculty co-adviser to the student newspaper. In addition to being an educator, she has worked as a writer and editor for more than twenty years. In her free time she enjoys walking her two Bernese Mountain dogs, Honey and Monty, training for triathlons, and gardening.

Holly is running because she wants to be of service to the community and town that she loves and she sees a place where her particular skills could be put to good use. She likes getting to know people, talking politics, and sharing information. Her experience working in media and participating in community organizing prepares her to do that.

Holly’s goals as a County Committee member are to strengthen party unity, increase outreach to new neighbors, and provide easy to access to information about events, meetings, local political issues, and how to run for office for those who are interested.
