Catherine Hunt has been an active participant in Our Revolution since its inception. In addition, she has been a leader of Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) and was part of the delegation that asked Sen. Bernie Sanders to run at the PDA's 10 year anniversary event. She facilitated the Run, Bernie, Run campaign which helped show Sen. Sanders that his presidential bid could be viable. A lifelong social justice activist, Catherine is also a member of the National Nurses Association. She performs regularly at rallies, demonstrations and protests with the Solidarity Singers.
Catherine is the Secretary of the Rossmoor Democratic Club, a member of the Monroe Democratic Club, the Treasurer of Medicare for All NJ, a New Jersey Universal Health Care Coalition Alternate Board Member and a member of Indivisible Monroe.
Catherine, a resident of Monroe Township, organized numerous events, including house parties and other mobilization activities, to support Sen. Sanders in his Presidential campaign. She is a constant presence at phone banks and canvasses, campaigning tirelessly for other progressive candidates, including Peter Jacob, who ran for Congress last year. This is her first bid for elected office, which she views as public service. A retired community health nurse, Catherine gives her passion and energy to the movement for social, political and economic justice. She loves to spend time with her grandchildren, and wants to make sure they grow up in a world we can all be proud of.
